The 50th Reunion Class Gift is traditionally established to support the University of Delaware in celebration and in honor of the 50th Reunion. A Class Gift Committee is established to select the specific gift and to encourage participation from classmates. Typical activities include committee meetings or conference calls and contacting 10-15 classmates for their support of the class gift.

For the past 15 years, the Class of 1958 has been raising money to assist undergraduate students through the Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund. To date, over 43 awards valued at $53,150 have been distributed to 30 upper-class UD students in need of financial assistance. Thank you to all past supporters!

As of January 16, 2008, the Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund was valued at over $197,000. This constitutes gifts from 181 classmates.

In honor of the 1958 50th reunion, let's increase the Class of 1958 Scholarship and therefore increase our support of UD students! If you would like to add to this total, visit the Make a Gift page and designate our class scholarship. The total amount received this year will be announced at the reunion celebration in October.
