Outstanding Alumni Award
The Outstanding Alumni Awards are presented annually to an alumnus and alumna in recognition of their exemplary work on behalf of the University of Delaware and/or the University of Delaware Alumni Association. For over 50 years, the University of Delaware Alumni Association has honored University graduates with this award. Past recipients have been honored for their Alumni Association activities and programs, leadership roles and dedication to reunions, college or department alumni activities, university steering committees and department steering committees, to name a few.
2012 Outstanding Alumni Award winners Kerri Pike '03 and Greg Lamoreaux '72
Presented annually to alumni in recognition of their exemplary work on behalf of UD and/or the UD Alumni Association, Kerri and Greg were recognized at the President's Luncheon and at the Homecoming football game halftime. Lauren Simione, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, said the luncheon was a great opportunity to recognize dozens of alumni who serve the university.
"It is great to honor so many wonderful Blue Hens who give so much and mean so much to this University," Simione said. "Many of the alumni who attended the President's Luncheon are the ones UD counts on to go the extra mile for their alma mater. Their continued involvement after graduation and support of the university sets a great example for all Blue Hens."
