College of Education & Public Policy Oustanding Alumni Awards & Dinner
Friday, June 4, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Clayton Hall)
Join the College of Education & Public Policy to honor a select few alumni from among over 22,000 college grads at the College of Education & Public Policy Outstanding Alumni Awards & Dinner. These alumni have made extraordinary contributions to the fields of human services, education and public policy through their achievements and commitment. Following at reception, a dinner will be held to honor the college's exceptional alumni.

ASPIRE Wine and Cheese Reception
Saturday, June 5, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. (200 Academy St.)
ASPIRE will be holding a wine and cheese reception to plan next year's 20th anniversary celebration. Looking Back and Planning Forward is open to all ASPIRE alumni and guests.

Ed.D Happy Hour
Saturday, June 5, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. (Kildare's Irish Pub - above Grotto's)
The School of Education Ed.D program will host a happy hour with a cash bar and free hors d'oeuvres. All Ed.D alumni and their guests are welcome.

M.A./M.Ed. in Counseling in Higher Education Alumni Dinner
Saturday, June 5, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Perkins Student Center)
For the masters degree program in Counseling in Higher Education (previously known as College Counseling/Student Personnel Administration), a first-ever reception and dinner for alumni, faculty and students will be held to celebrate 40 years (1969-2009) of  graduation classes.   Please plan to come back to visit the campus, see friends, and meet a great group of people who are connected to this academic program.

Renowned sociologist William Julius Wilson directs the Joblessness and Urban Poverty Research Program at the Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy.  He is the author of groundbreaking books on race and urban poverty including the recently published More than Just Race: Being Black and Poor in the Inner City.  Past president of the American Sociological Associtaion, MacArthur Prize Fellow from 1987-92, and recipient of the 1998 National Medal of Science, Wilson was selected by Time Magazine as one of America's 25 most influential people in 1996.
