Lecture, Reception & Exhibition at
the
Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Monday, June 18, 6:30 p.m.

(1071 Fifth Ave. (at 89th St.) New York, NY 10128)
Cost: $7

The program will be followed by a reception and the opportunity to view the related exhibition, Art of Another Kind: International Abstraction and the Guggenheim, 1949-1960. This exhibition presents over 100 works by pioneering artists of the post-World War II era who embraced alternatively artistic freedom and gesture-based styles, nontraditional materials and counter-cultural references.

Guggenheim Manager of Public Programs Rachel Schwartz Sirota ’08 AS is enthusiastic about making the museum accessible to the UD community and is offering tickets at member prices, saying: “Though we are anticipating a strong turnout, it would be wonderful if there were a vibrant UD presence at the program.”
