Hike at Ramapo Valley County Reservation

Saturday, October 14
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Ramapo Valley County Reservation (608 Ramapo Valley Rd., Mahwah, NJ 07430)

Cost: Free

Join fellow Blue Hens and their families on a scenic 4-mile hike of the Vista Loop Trail at the Ramapo Valley Reservation during the peak of fall’s changing leaves with three panoramic views of the surrounding reservation.

This is a fairly easy hike (good for beginning hikers, but interesting enough for experienced ones). Please pack your own lunch and water. It is approximately 4 miles round-trip and should take about 2 hours (2.5 with our stop for lunch).

We will gather near the parking lot; look for Blue and Gold pom poms! Detailed contact information will be shared with registered attendees before the hike. The group will wait up to 15 minutes before departing on the hike. If you must cancel, please let us know, so we are not waiting for you.

This is a weather-dependent event. We will communicate ahead of time if there is inclement weather that would affect the hike. RAIN DATE due to inclement weather is Sunday, October 15, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Public Transportation:
Bus: Short Line offers bus service from Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City to Ramapo College, which is located about a half mile north of the park entrance on Route 202. For schedule information, go to www.shortlinebus.com (use "Mahwah" for destination, click, then select "Ramapo College"). Only limited service is available on weekends.

Onsite parking is available.

Registration closes October 12, 2017. Registration is encouraged so we have a head count, but walk-ins are welcome.

ZogSports Kickball Team - Fall 2017

Are you looking to get active and make some new friends all at the same time? Join Northern New Jersey alumni as we form a ZogSports Kickball team for this upcoming fall season! The season runs from the second week in September to the week of November 13. We are looking to play for fun, so don't worry, prior experience isn't required!

The league will run for 6-7 weeks with 60-minute games at Momma Johnson Field (4th and Jackson, Hoboken, NJ 07030). Games will be between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and will rotate between Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Teams are limited to 18 players, so please make sure to express interest quickly! Games are 11 v. 11, and 5 female players per team must be on the field at a time.

Please note the Northern New Jersey Club will not cover costs, and players are expected to pay for their own registration ($110 if registered by August 10, $150 after that date).

For all details on how to register for our team, please click below. Contact Jessi Gerowitz if you have any questions.

If you drive to Hoboken you will need to pay for street parking.
