Hike at Ramapo Valley County Reservation

Saturday, October 6  |  11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Ramapo Valley County Reservation  |  608 Ramapo Valley Rd., Mahwah, NJ 07430

Join Blue Hens and friends on a scenic hike of the Vista Loop Trail. We will stop for a picnic lunch at the top of the mountain, while enjoying beautiful views of the changing trees and three panoramic views of the surrounding reservation. All are welcome as this is an easy hike that will allow even children and families to join. Please pack your own lunch and water.

The trail system is good for beginning hikers, but interesting enough for experienced ones. It is approximately 4 miles round-trip and should take around 2 hours (2.5 with lunch stop).

We will gather near the parking lot; look for Blue and Gold pom poms! Detailed contact information will be shared with registered attendees before the hike. The group will wait up to 15 minutes before departing on the hike. If you must cancel, please let us know so we are not waiting for you.

This is a weather-dependent event. We will communicate ahead of time if there is inclement weather that would affect the hike. RAIN DATE due to inclement weather is Sunday, October 7, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Cost: Free

Registration closes October 4, 2018. Registration is encouraged so we have a head count, but walk-ins are welcome.
