Guests will join Professor Lawrence Nees, Chair of the Department of Art History and a renowned specialist in Medieval art, and Donald Grimes, an Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Instructor whose interest and focus is on cathedrals of the Middle Ages, on this incredible tour.

Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania was founded as a religious community in the late 19th century by members of a Christian denomination known as the New Church. This small borough is home to some of the area’s most remarkable architecture, buildings that reflect the religious faith and vision of the community’s earliest residents. To ensure that all guests have an intimate viewing experience and can enjoy Professor Nees’ discussion of the stained glass and sculpture, small groups will be organized and rotated through the complex during their two-hour tours. Tickets are strictly limited and early registration is encouraged.
