"Baking with Bacon" Cooking Demo with Chef Dana Herbert '98

Cost: $30 class only, $45 class + UD apron
Learn how to create several “sweet and savory” treats with UD alum Chef Dana Herbert, '98 HRIM, also known as Delaware’s “King of Cakes.” Dana will demonstrate how to prepare a few tasty treats, such as Apple Purse and Chocolate Caramel Peanut Butter Cheesecake with Bacon! Amazing “Baking with Bacon” recipes all perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Participants receive tasting portions of each dessert prepared. Light hors d’ourves and non-alcoholic beverages available and a cash bar. Afterwards meet Chef Dana and buy his cook book!
Chef Dana Herbert, owner of Desserts by Dana, is an expert sugar artist, who has garnered a lot of attention for his big win on “Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker”, a hit show on TLC, which premiered in December 2010. Dana is UD trained in both Culinary and Pastry, and loves to blend his sweet and savory style together.
