Baltimore Dare to Care: UD Alumni at the Real Food Farm

Saturday, May 17, 2014, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Real Food Farm
(2801 St. Lo Drive, Baltimore, MD)

Cost: Free

Join your fellow Blue Hens as we work with Real Food Farm, one of Baltimore’s only Urban Farms! This organization aims for a just and sustainable food system by providing low-income neighborhoods access to healthy, fresh, pesticide-free produce.

In order to be environmentally-friendly, RFF grows their produce with compost and other sustainable farming methods, so be ready for some weeding and mulching! In addition, volunteers can use this as an opportunity to learn about some exciting urban farming developments happening around the neighborhoods of Baltimore, and ways they can get involved.

Note: Be sure to wear work/hiking boots or old sneakers.

Special thanks to the UD Alumni Association for its support of this event.
