Did you know? Docked in Canton, right here in Baltimore, is a historic ship called the N.S. Savannah (the "N.S." stands for Nuclear Ship). It was built in the 1950s to demonstrate the feasibility of nuclear-powered cargo/cruising ships and became the world’s first nuclear-powered merchant ship.

Blue Hens and friends are invited for a rare opportunity to tour this National Historic Landmark. The ship is still being decommissioned and isn't yet a fully operational museum ship. It is thus only open to the public once a year on Maritime Day in May. However, through the generosity of the N.S. Savannah staff, our alumni club has been invited for an exclusive tour.

Following the tour, attendees are encouraged to attend a happy hour at On the Border Grill in Canton Crossing to round out an amazing day. Appetizers will be provided at happy hour; additional food and beverages will be available for purchase.

This is truly a unique opportunity you will not want to pass up!
