History and Hops Brewmaster Tour

Saturday, October 20, 2018 | 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Heurich House Museum | 1307 New Hampshire Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20036

Cost: $18 (includes private tour of mansion and flight of 3 local craft beers).

Open to Blue Hens & friends 21 years and older (photo ID required). Limit 4 tickets per party.

Once the home of D.C.’s most successful brewers, the “Brewmaster’s Castle” offers a unique look into the lives of Dupont’s elite during the 19th century. This late-Victorian era mansion was built in 1892, was home to Christian Heurich and his family and still retains its original furnishings. Join us to learn about this beautiful Dupont Circle mansion, the brewer, and one of D.C.'s largest and longest running breweries, Chr. Heurich Brewing Co. Plus, see how far the D.C. beer scene has come since then by sampling some local craft beer during the tour. The Heurich House has very limited openings to the public, so please register early for this unique opportunity.

An event like this normally would cost $40, but thanks to the generous support of the UD Alumni Association, we are able to offer this tour for $18.

Registration closes Friday, October 12 at 4:00 p.m. Unfortunately, walk-ins will not be permitted.
