J. Robert King had the vision to invite former marching band members back for the first official gathering of the UD Alumni Marching Band in 1970. Every year since then band alums have dusted off their instruments, broken out their lyres and flip folders and made the pilgrimage back to campus for their annual performance at Homecoming! In 1998 when the UDMB hit 300 members, it became evident that a group of alumni were needed to assist with the coordination and continuation of this cherished event.
Association disseminates information about UD programs and events of interest to its members, runs its own educational and social activities, and encourges increased enrollment in MALS.
