Grads of the last decade respond to “Young Alumni Survey”, determine name and shape future programs for young alumniYoung Alumni Network

Approximately 2,600 alumni who graduated between 2007 and 2016 responded to the “Young Alumni Survey” sent out in February. Alumni were asked how they have stayed engaged with UD since graduation, how they would like to get involved, their motivation for giving back financially to the University, and the types of communication and programs that are most appealing.

One of the questions asked respondents to rank possible names to encompass young alumni programs. The overwhelming feedback indicated that recent graduates would prefer “Young Alumni Network” as the common identity for future communication and initiatives for their peers.

Young alumni expressed interest in connecting with other alumni for professional development and networking as well as giving more of their time and talent to UD. Recent grads are motivated to make a gift to an area or program for which they are most passionate and where they can see the impact of their contribution.

Special thanks to all the alumni who took the time to provide feedback through the survey. The Office of Development & Alumni Relations is already using the results as a guide for future communication and programs for young alumni—including the new name!
