Networking

In addition to the alumni online community, UDconnection.com, the University of Delaware provides many other ways for alumni to connect with one another.

Join the University of Delaware Alumni Network group on LinkedIn.com.

When you join the University of Delaware Alumni Network on LinkedIn, you can expand and track your network in an organized and systematic way.  The University of Delaware Alumni Network group provides an ideal starting point for professionals and becomes more useful as it grows. It will also provide you with a point of contact for individuals outside the UD community who are connected to your fellow Blue Hens members.

With more than 25 million experienced professionals from around the world, LinkedIn is an online network that helps you find inside connections to jobs, industry experts and business partners.  When you join LinkedIn, you create a profile that summarizes your professional accomplishments. Your profile helps you find and be found by former colleagues, clients, and partners.

On top of UDconnection.com, UD alumni now have another place for social networking on Facebook.com.  UDconnection.com has built an application that can be safely loaded onto any Facebook profile in order to provide a convenient way to stay connected to the University of Delaware and to show your school pride.  The application, called University of Delaware Alumni Connections, is built on the Facebook platform and is provided by the University of Delaware Alumni Association.

When on Facebook, make sure to join the University of Delaware Alums group and connect with over 3,500 UD alumni.

Facebook is one of the most popular and fastest growing social networking sites, giving people the power to share and making the world more open and connected.  Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.

News and announcements specifically for alumni will be posted and more new features will be added.

Add the application and then tell us what you think. What features do you want to see?

Alums looking for more face-to-face interaction have the regional alumni clubs which are always looking for a few good men and women to volunteer.  You can help out your local alumni club in all kinds of ways.  Whether providing leadership and guidance, planning events that provide both social and professional value, or simply attending gatherings and having a good time visit the UD Alumni Clubs web page and get involved.

All of the above are free to join.  As always, the University of Delaware will not share or sell your personal information to third parties except where required by law.
